BAPHON is the local chapter of the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) serving pediatric hematology and oncology nurses from the Northern California area. Our members are dedicated to promoting optimal nursing care for children and adolescents with cancer and their families.

8th Annual Symposium: Fostering Community in the Profession - April 20th, 2024 at 8:00AM

Hear about the various perspectives of the interprofessional team within pediatric Heme/Onc. Our aim is to develop a stronger awareness and appreciation of each role's involvement in the care of our patients from new diagnosis to off therapy monitoring and everything in between. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided and as always, participants have the chance to enter a raffle for some big prizes!

BAPHON first event of the year was a huge hit in the Peninsula with one the largest turn outs we have seen for a dinner event! David Mauser, MD and Erika Vopnford, DNP delivered a joint presentation on key concepts in palliative care for pediatric oncology nursing. Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation - The Million Mile

This was our TENTH year of supporting the research for more cures of childhood cancers! Collectively we finally did the impossible and reached 1,000,000 miles!

Words cannot express how important each person's contributions to the cause has been. This year we fundraised a total of $7,078 which is over five times the amount we collected last year!

Team SCAPHON won with a total of 7,213 miles vs Team BAPHON's 6,498 miles! Better luck next time everyone! As promised, BAPHON has made a $100 donation to the winning team!
