Marsha Treadwell, Ph.D., from UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital will give an informative talk entitled “Improving the Quality of Sickle Cell Disease Care by Understanding and Addressing Healthcare Disparities.”

As co-chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, Marsha Treadwell, Ph.D., is passionate about dismantling structures that cause disparities in patients' outcomes and access to resources. She has a special focus on those affected by sickle cell disease and helps patients and families develop and maintain resilience to better cope with stress.
The event begins at 7 pm with a 15-minute presentation from our sponsors. Participants who join on time will have their names entered in a raffle.
